You can definitely install a weight distribution hitch on an aluminum trailer. I wouldn’t have it installed at the place who told you that is a problem though!!
I love my Four Star 2+1. I love the Quiet Ride and it was for sure worth the extra as was the WERM floor, I had the fans put in, hydraulic jack, camera and also did the Air Ride hitch. It pulls like a dream and looks like a brand new trailer after a year. I would have Four Star install the tie downs. I think the quality and the resale make it a very good choice. Love all the LED lighting and even the cool side marker lights. They cannot get pulled off like the old side marker lights. They are one of my favorite things!

I think 4-Stars and Eby’s are the best trailers out there. I’m biased, I love Eby’s.
Werm/Rumba floors are heavy, nice, but heavy.
Easy to do carriages, just put some good heavy mounting fitting bolted through the body…they’ll sit flat unless you’re using them and can handle any weight.
Power lifts are a luxury…until you use them…then you’ll never go back.
While you’re at it, get a TV camera…“Horse TV” is fun to watch on the road.
