Equestic vs. Equisense vs. ?

@endlessclimb, yes, I have the same issue. I’ve got a Google Pixel Android phone. This is a new issue that cropped up a few weeks ago.

For me, it’s easy to use the work around. I was hesitant at first, and didn’t want to have to reboot it etc. I don’t have to. I just do to my Settings on the phone, System, and toggle over to Gestures Navigation (these may not be the exact prompts). I switch it back after the ride.

Are you having the network connectivity issue as well? I have tmobile, if it matters.

Did you actually hit the save button when it came up with the Notes box after you had ended the ride?

Have you actually tried to refresh your data from the calendar page?

If you look at the horse’s page, do the rides show there?

I find the app always defaults to the “no” messages as it is loading any give page. So “no network connection”, “ride has not been analyzed yet”, etc. I’ve also had rides show up on the wrong day several times this year. Usually the next day (ex. I rode Sunday Nov 19, and the Equestic calendar has it on Nov 20).

Which brings another question - did you check that the app has permission to access your mobile data?

I did lose a couple of rides I particularly wanted to see once. Uninstalled the app, and immediately reinstalled it, and the basic information was there. I’d lost all the metrics that could bee analyzed for symmetry, impulsion, etc.

Early on I lost ride one of two done on the same day, with no data connection. I don’t remember exactly what I did to stop it happening.

@endlessclimb, no network issues. I tack up, start the app before I get on, and I do “Deny…” (ie, don’t let the app run in background). I put my phone in a belt bag and hang it on the arena fence. I finish the ride, get off, end the ride in the ap, hit the smiley face, don’t add any notes, and end there. It will usually give me all the results immediately on my mobile (not wifi) connection.

I have had issues getting the ride data a few times. One, using the wi-fi connection: frequently just a mess, taking forever: and I chalked that up to the connection. I went to mobile data and whala, that ended. Once, the ride vanished. Never had that happen again, and I called that one operator error (a year or so ago).

Hm, ok. I just checked again, and it’s still not connected to the network. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still no dice.

This is so weird. I have no restrictions on data uploads/downloads as I frequently upload/download stuff to Google drive. My plan is unlimited data.

Thanks for letting me know we at least share some of the same problems.

I’m still having connectivity issues. I have every permission available, both data and otherwise, enabled for this thing. I have restarted my phone countless times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times.

Equestic is of absolutely no help.

Is anyone else on Tmobile? Or using a Samsung Galaxy S21?

FWIW, I’m very capable technology wise. I have a pixio with 3 beacons, a robot, and a watch that has given me less grief than this thing. I have never had issues that I couldn’t figure out technology wise - until now.
