Aww, thanks, cominback, for the kind recommendation of http://galsandhorses.blogspot.com/ . Still blows me away that anyone cares to read my ramblings! Anyway, just wanted to thank you- that made my day! Stay well!
While I don’t always post strictly horse-related content, this is my blog: kadyhobbins.com. I posted a recap of a GM clinic a few months ago that was well-received but most of the time I’m just rambling about whatever I feel like!
I find http://rockinroxie.blogspot.com to be really funny. She’s an event rider but Roxie herself cracks me up.
Do it! I thought that if I had a blog it would be super boring (which it might be, haha) but I love keeping track of my equestrian happenings and I feel like the whole blogger community is pretty awesome and supportive. It is a great way to get fresh insight and can definitely be an ego boost!
Your blog is definitely not super boring
I would encourage anyone interested in blogging to do so with a few things in mind. If you don’t enjoy writing, this probably isn’t for you. Also, whenever you put something out on the internet it’s subject to criticism - I know I’ve had issues in the past when I wrote something too flippantly and didn’t choose my words carefully. It’s easy to do!
Even with that cautionary tale, I think a blog can be a great place for reflecting, keeping yourself honest, and visually seeing how far you’ve come in your various equine adventures.
Just wanted to share 2 of my favs:
http://piasparade.blogspot.com/
http://suenostomanvuelo.blogspot.com/
AWIP and SMTT have already been shared but are great too!
There really just aren’t that many HJ blogs I don’t think. On my blog roll I have a lot of great blogs though- of varying disciplines.
My blog is regional – focusing on horse-related activities in the Twin Tiers of NY and PA, and it also includes bits and pieces of my horse-related doings.
There happens to be a sheep featured on it today, but that’s abnormal.
The link is in my signature.

I run my own blog as well… maybe you would be interested in reading it

I’ll read it! Thanks for sharing
FWIW- I’m heading east (from CA) for capital challenge in about a week. My blog is mostly fashion related but I’ll probably document the journey- bringing my two young kids (1 and 3 years old) and two borrowed horses…
