Torture is probably the best term to describe it!! That sounds suuuuper difficult!
Toe torture 😂😂 **torture! I need to do my spell check I think!
I like to try one. If you are willing to part with yours let me buy it off you.
Hoping to hear from users of the Equicube
My riding teacher hands it to me occasionally, mostly on the days when I just cannot seem to straighten my back and get my head up.
Since I ride Forward Seat my seat bones do not have to be “plugged” into the saddle as much. I am pretty sure if I was taking Dressage lessons my riding teacher would want me to use it more, and I’d probably be demanding to use it every lesson and homework ride.
From my riding teacher’s reactions to me using it I think that the Equicube can partially replace a riding teacher, as in during my homework rides carrying the Equicube helps my seat really get down into the saddle and it somehow causes my slumping back to get properly erect. My seat bones get even more “glued” to the saddle and the small of my back is free to move with the horse’s back. It partially replaces the “nit picking” corrections to my seat that my riding teacher often tries (only on my worse days.)
I love mine. It’s a heavier one, and I bought it years ago. Cons, I have my one horse who is very heavy in the contact and can be difficult in the connection. I don’t use it on her. Pros, all of the other horses I work with, it’s a fantastic tool. I have used it with a few of my intermediate students, and their horses are instantly better. It’s not the same as a riding crop. The weight of the cube helps the rider establish a better more solid connection. It does teach you to ride off of the core with a quiet hand. It also helps you establish a more solid feel of turning off of both reins.
