Eventing Barns Near Denver, CO

Hi Everyone,

I recently moved to downtown Denver from VA, and am looking for an eventing barn for my horse. I don’t have a trailer, so it will have to be a farm that has a trainer onsite that offers lessons in all three areas, has a jumping arena, and preferably a xc course. I would like to compete as well, so a barn that is more ‘competitive’ would be nice. I would prefer the drive to be less than 45 minutes if possible as well. Any suggestions?

Thank you!!

You live in downtown Denver?? Closer to the north and west or more south and west??

What time are you planning your barn commute? 45 minuets during rush hour I don’t think will get you much depending on when you start your drive.

I live in LoDo, so pretty much right in the middle, I believe. I was thinking around 4:30/5 pm - but yes, that is my fear, traffic seems like it can get fairly bad. I guess I will probably just have to suck it up and do a long-ish drive. Was hoping to not have to do that, but from the research I have done so far, it seems like that’s really the only option :frowning:

It will be an hour+ from Denver if you’re coming during rush hour. It is exactly 45 minutes to horsey/eventing parts of Douglas County with no traffic. But we have wonderful options! Dani Sussman (Aspire Eventing), Rochelle Costanza (Platinum Farms), and Lynn Kilsavage (Mile High) are all great and meet your criteria!

Awesome, thank you very much! I will look into those.

I used to ride at a barn in CA where Dani was an assistant trainer ages ago. She was a wonderful instructor and a great horsewoman. If I was in the area, I would absolutely put my horse in her program!
