Sliced a horse’s belly open from front to back with a whip, which resulted in dripping blood?
I don’t understand this description. Abuse with a whip is unacceptable… but that almost always results in welts. Even egregious whip abuse.
Perhaps there were cuts on the horse’s sides from misuse/abuse involving spurs with rowels? That makes more sense to me.
Today Evi Strasser posted screenshots to show that they were out of town at a horse show on the dates that the supposed abuse occured. I have no idea whether it was only alleged for those particular dates, or any further information.
It is absolutely possible to draw blood with a dressage whip. Be glad you didn’t know this before.

And this is why many people want to remove horses from big competitions. It’s absolutely criminal and it seems many do this.

This is absolutely not to that the information as stated by @Jealoushe about the interview is not horrifying and one wonders how on earth Evi was allowed to compete at the Royal.
One wonders how she was an Olymian and everything else.
But if coth has taught me anything, it’s that the equine heros of my youth are all cut from this same cloth. So disappointing.
I was just thinking this morning that the reason more trainers don’t speak up against these abuses is because there are so many trainers that are abusive. Can’t turn someone in for things that you also do.
A broken dressage whip while standing at the front and hitting horizontal could definitely break skin.
Yes re watched the interview and she actually said Evie was out of town during that episode. I have to listen again to see what happened.
More grooms have come forward and the FEI has actually reached out to dressage hub.

So one time she wasn’t there to join in the abuse? I find it hard to believe that people remembering incidences from as far back as 2001 are getting their facts wrong.

I remember when I was young I thought that Saddle Seat show riding, especially THW and ASBs was abusive.
Now it seems that I can add top level dressage to that list. (NOT all dressage riders by the way.)
If people here knew what Dressage Hub has done to people, they wouldn’t be holding them up as some sort of savior of horses. Frankly, I don’t believe anything on their page. I’m not saying it didn’t happen, I’m saying that Dressage Hub has a history of making things up to ruin people they don’t like.
And doesn’t she have some sort of grudge against Canadian riders?
DH makes the accusations less credible to me, and I think it’s a shame this is giving her any sort of legitimation (legitimacy? legitimization?)
But there seem to be a lot of voices repeating the same.
How many of the voices are real though? 
Yeah I don’t know. But I assume some of them for a suspension to actually take place.
