All my oldies have done well on various adaptations of all the above suggestions. Its definitely worth experimenting to find what suits their taste.
The only thing to add, which worked for one of mine that dropped everything, was a feed bag. He gets a ton of senior feed and with the bag, I know he’s getting every morsel of it. He’s one of those that wasnt a huge fan of mush, so this way i dunk the bag and dampen the senior and everyone is happy. He has put back on a ton of weight.
