Farm things that make keeping horses easier

I have a small bucket just for fence repair. It has hammer nails sharpie and tape measure. No need to hunt the items when I need to take something up. Also I can carry it on the mower and tack up a loose board as I go along.
Love
my dump cart from TS. Use it for everything.
I hve pass throughs in the fence line- just left out the center board of the three board fence. Easy.

Clothes line in wash stall for hanging towels rags leg wraps even wet saddle pads.

Plastic caninets from Sterlite(?) in wash rack for all bottles etc. I have short ones that provide a countertop and a tall one.

When you desogn the barn be sure you have a space space for hanging forks etc.

I just ordered the hay chix net system (is that what you’d call it?) I also found https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002H3S5U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they are great! Esp in the south, nothing gets moldy, and they DO stack- I can get 50lb of beet pulp in the 60 lb one and 80 lbs (well, with a day of food left over) of alfalfa pellets. Love them so far

I have these for pet food in the house. They’re great, love them.

This has been a life saver for me since I broke my ankle and have to use crutches. If the horses didn’t come when I called I would have to get someone out here around 6:30 every morning to bring the horses in, but I can do it myself. I can not emphasize enough how important this is!!!

Another thing that has been a life saver for me over the years is heated buckets in each stall. I decided shortly after we built the new barn and heated buckets came on the market that I needed them. I paid big bucks for those buckets back then but they were worth every penny. They are about half that price now. I went to the home store with a diagram of my stalls with outlets for each stall and the guy in the electrical department made sure I had everything I needed and knew how to put it all together. I did all the wiring and conduit myself and my husband connected the electricity when I was finished. One of the best things I ever did for horse keeping.

No. If you are putting dirt on top, you will be adding mud.

You can add bluestone screenings on the top to make a better surface.
