Favorite Gloves

I really like the way Bionic gloves feel, though the ClassicGrip ones look thicker than the average glove. Those might go on my Christmas list this year. My Heritage performance have lasted quite a while, but I don’t like the feel as much as my old brown no-name leather gloves my parents bought me when I was twelve. LOVE those things.

I used to wear nothing but the SSG’s but one year all the local tack shop had in my size were Heritage’s. Tried a pair, fell in love with the close contact feel, the grip, the fit, everything. Now I won’t buy anything else. I have the fleece gloves for winter, a pair of summer trainers and two different pairs of show gloves. LOVE HERITAGE!

I swear by my Bionic gloves now! I’ve had SSGs, Heritage, and various other brands but these really stand out as the most comfortable and also grippiest gloves I’ve ever worn. I have two pairs of the Bionic Aquagrips. The first I bought specifically for xc (I’m an eventer) because sweaty reins on xc are pretty much just a part of life. Add a heavy rain during your course as well and things can get interesting. I bought a second pair for everyday (replaced my SSG all weather gloves which I’ve had forever) because the design also helps with my carpal tunnel and tendonitis (they were developed by an orthopedic hand surgeon).

For some reason the Aquagrips don’t show on the Bionic website under Equestrian anymore, but Riding Warehouse has them. My first pair, purchased straight from Bionic, have the grey cut outs (my xc colors are black & grey) but the second pair from RW are just black. Definitely consult the sizing guide on the Bionic website before purchasing. I typically wear a 7 I think in SSG and other brands, but measure a Ladies Large in the Bionics.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Going to go to Dover tomorrow and try some of these brands on. I do have the newer rubber reins since I despise the older thick ones. The Bionic gloves also sound really interesting and like what I am looking for in a glove, I will check them out.
