A soft round rubber curry works best on my fine-coated Thoroughbred. I never had much success with any of the blade-type shedding tools on his coat.
A clever friend recently cut a hand-sized rectangular piece of rubber stall mat and gifted it to me. That works nicely on the fuzziest spots. It also doubles as a handy tool for sweat marks.
