My young horse touches the fence where we are boarded on a weekly basis. It’s HOT hot. She’s just not very bright, and wants to touch everything.
Alright, so here’s another stupid question - can I use the bi-polar tape, AND still ground the charger? I don’t want to be beholden to the bipolar stuff if I want to run a single wire on a gate or something. I’d like to be able to tap off the hot side and just run the single wire.
I’d ask that question of Horseguard themselves
I have a few questions out with them now, waiting on a reply. I will follow up with this.
The bipolar and normal tape are quite similar in price, unless I’m looking at something wrong. What else makes a bipolar setup that much more expensive, the special corner insulators etc?
I’m finishing up pricing for the fencing as a whole. WOOF. I’m near 10k for perimeter fence 2x4 no climb, with interior fencing 3 strands of tape. Tape around the top of the entire perimeter.
This is with a pretty complicated layout as far as corners and the like.
Saw this black one at walmart, but says out of stock/not available to order. Made by Zareba. I don’t see them on their own website, though. You could always call or message them directly to ask if they are an option.
I refer to this stage of farm building as the “bleeding money” phase.
