Do you have to join AQHA to find a horse’s show record? We’ve bought an older QH that we’ve been told has a show background. My daughter would like to try to do some local shows (western newbies) and I was curious as to what he had done before.
Yes, you have to be a member to access their AQHA show record. If you would like I will look it up for you if you give me the horse’s registered name.
Keep in mind AQHA only keeps the AQHA show record not the show record for open shows. I do believe they may also have the NCHA and possibly the NRHA records as well.
Oh wow, thanks! His name is Dogie’s One. I’m not sure about the apostrophe in Dogies. It may just be Dogies or Dogie. Honestly, I’m not 100% sure he has a record, which is why I didn’t want to join and come up empty handed. Thanks!

Looks like he is a pretty good show trail horse.
It looks like he’s done everything we’re interested in. I wonder how much the classes have changed since he last showed - that was almost 15 years ago. Hopefully he’ll be a patient teacher and show my kiddo the ropes. They have their first lesson with our trainer on Saturday. She’s super excited.
