What a great first hunt for you! Love that sturdy looking paint, too. Perfect!
So glad it was wonderful for you.
Really enjoyed your explanation (post #18). VERY well stated.
I could almost print that out to offer up to those men who are conflicted about riding.
Loved the power tool reference…
Gosh…do you have an older brother/uncle/Dad? We need more intelligent manly men like you around!

Thanks!
As for male relatives–plenty, but none who’ve caught the equestrian bug, alas.
Your first-hunt story was great! I had my first hunting experience only a month ago and I’m as hook-line-and-sinker as you seem to be :D. I went yesterday again and it was again fantabulous. I have been living in warm-and-sunny coastal Southern California for the past 2.5 years and was fully convinced I had wimped out to the point of no return. But yesterday I had to drive through a snowstorm to get to the fixture which was a valley up in the mountains, and then we galloped around in the snow and ice for several hours. And my horse was brilliant again on her second-ever outing. And I too can’t say enough about how warm and welcoming and helpful the hunt staff and other members are. I can’t believe it took me so long to find this sport!
And I think you need to take your post #18 and put it on Off Course- “Thougts on why men don’t ride”. Really interesting thoughts!
