First Long-Haired Cat--Grooming Tips?
the mark of good paparazzi is patience and creativity. I expect pics soon.

And as soon as I feel better I will braid my cat’s fur for the benefit of CoTH. You’re welcome.
We need nice closeup pics please. Can you do rasta?

I’ve got two fluffies - one indoor and one outdoor. The indoor kitty has always sucked a grooming, and we found her much happier after she started getting clipped. She loved how much she could feel the petting now! She didn’t get matted too badly, but super dandruffy and petrified poop butt. She now gets clipped roughly ever 3 months.

The outdoor fluffy cat does alright. He only gets one or two matts every few months, so I just cut them out. And he’s pretty tolerant about being laid on his back so I can trim his belly furs!

Thanks, everyone!

I live in a small town in Central Asia–people don’t really keep pets, and pet care is pretty basic. I don’t think clipping will happen (unless I get some clippers online and figure out how to do it myself), but I found a rake/comb and it’s really helping pull out lots of hair. He’s been pretty patient about it, so hopefully we’re on the right track.
