Folks who don't wear gloves - favorite reins?

I loved my thinline reins, but they fell apart, like the other poster – but I never asked TL to replace them. Maybe I should try again, they were very nice.

Okay! Just thought I would share this after my first ride with my ThinLine reins. WOW! Went on a trail ride today and a walk turned into, let’s trot, okay, let’s canter, and it was my OTTB’s first time out… my hands would have been in shreds in any of my other reins. I was bare handed and although he got pretty sweaty, there was no slipping and they were so comfortable. Highly recommend! I hope they hold up for a reasonable length of time.

Glad you like them. They were OK, too thick to be favorites, and fell apart even with attention to detail paid when ‘cleaning.’

I know people have a love/hate relationship with them, but I’m loyal to my cheapy Rambo rubber reins (https://www.ridingwarehouse.com/Horseware_Rambo_Micklem_Competition_Rubber_Reins/descpage-RMCR.html) the kind you find on the Micklem and Amigo bridles. They the right thickness, aren’t slick, and wear like iron. I don’t wear gloves anymore and I haven’t had any issues with these reins.

Rubber web reins with stops. Very comfortable.

I love my plaited reins (not laced).
