For the colour crowd

Yeah, racing to the right - eek!

Gorgeous, gorgeous mare, and man can she run. She won going away. What an absolutely incredible pedigree on her. She’s got the best of the best on top and bottom. Imagine, a white horse with a gray sire. What happens when she finally goes gray at 8 or 10 :D:lol::winkgrin::);) Tee hee hee!!!

She’s a big girl. Didn’t think she was only two.

I just can’t get over seeing them race in the “wrong” direction…

Unh??? looks like they’re runnin forwards to me :winkgrin:

Too Funny:lol::lol::lol:

Yeah, the whole racing in the other direction got me too! Nice run on that filly!

See i didnt even notice that they were going to the right, shows you how many times i’ve been to the track (zero) lol

Racing in most countries is bi-directional, sometimes both directions in the one race. Of major racing nations only the US and Canada are uni-directional.

I don’t think many TBs continue their racing careers to the point where their coats would have “greyed out” to 100% white. Eight, ten years old or more? And she would have had to be bald-faced (not common in TBs) to not have dark around the eyes/muzzle.

Nice run.

What made me think possible gray, was this picture of a foal from a previous thread on this board http://www.esi-auktionen.de/Queensland/p/109.html Barely a weanling and already almost all white.

cool race to watch and well turned out white horse…I also would have never guessed 2. She’s really nice!

Blonde Filly, I believe you have been banned multiple times under multiple alters for advertising and snipping.

Thanks!

Thanks for sharing the link - beautiful filly and fun race to watch. Sure would make it easy to spot your horse in the race when she’s THAT white! We’ve had a few grays that were almost white, and some of them have run in the Gray Ghost in NJ - fun!

Riddlemethis, so strange to see a weanling jumping like that (the like to Queensland) - what a beautiful baby with fantastic form though!

Oh, Drumbiggle. Did you not know that “color” (or, as you say, “colour”) is a pot-stirrin’ word around here? :sigh:

Should I know the silks that filly’s (whose name begins with a Y and whose broodmare sire’s initials are SS) jock is wearing? :uhoh: edited to add: now that I’ve done some poking around, okay, now I know who made those silks famous. Japanese racing is just too early in the morning for me to follow  but I should have remembered the l’Arc de Triomphe.

I can think of two greys that are nearly white now and still running:

Nine year old Evening Attire,

and seven year old Christmas Away That picture was taken in 2006; he’s in the middle of the field (obviously).

Yup … Kaneko Makoto Holdings Co. Ltd., the same folks who ran Deep Impact.

This thread was originally in SHB, which is why I didn’t expect any of them there to know anything about Japanese racing.

I was only banned once and NEVER ever came back as an alter…you are thinking of someone else NOT ME. I was banned for asking for ice boots for my foundering mare…it was considered “advertising”…the thread has magicly disappeared or I would refer you to it…and NO the Mods know I’m here!!! So let’s move on as I’ve said on multiple threads now! Please see Off Course Thread and Sporthorsebreeding Thread! Carry on!

Very nice race and a beautiful filly!

And, that weanling’s jump… Holy cow!

OMG!! This thread has almost 1,400 views! Most of the racing threads barely make it into the 100’s.

Who would have thought Japanese racing was that popular??

Here’s Deep Impact winning the Arima Kinen, his final race, with his signature come from the back of the pack style and being paraded before the 100,000 fans one last time.

Her dam is a white daughter of Sunday Silence http://www.pedigreequery.com/shirayukihime

And her sire was a very good racehorse and sire himself.

The filly COULD also be grey, her body is essentially all one white marking so if she is grey it is hidden and they will only know if she produces a grey foal to a none grey sire. 50/50 chance of grey/non grey.

Apparently a white foal is not the huge deal in Japan as it is here as there are quite a few of them! Not all this line either.

Just an aside: a young greyed out TB shows up every once in a while. Snow Magic still has a dark mane but she is quite light for a grey 2yo:

I have a white TB!!

Here’s his last race on Sept 29, 2007…at 8 years old!!

He’s pure white! Love him!
