One of the feral cats that we caught gave birth in the room before we could spay her. We kept her in her cage and fed her till the kittens were 5/6 weeks, then we spayed her and rehomed the kittens. The kittens were fine and not feral. Their mom was one of the nastiest ferals that I have ever encountered. She had a history of rejecting her babies if humans handled them per the owner of the land she lived on, so we didn’t want to risk her rejecting them. So we just left them alone and they were fine.
