Well I dunno, I went to a QH auction once, and apparently each and every one of them that came into the sale ring had “foxy ears”, and this appeared to be the main selling point for each of them, according to the auctioneer. Us TB people had a really good laugh about this.
This thread makes me think of my gelding I had years ago. He had those loose floppy ears that some have posted about. I was at a show, in a pleasure class and the announcer accidently left his mic on. It was heard all over the showground how much he “liked number 300 because he had airplane ears”. My horse was number 300 and the nickname “Airplane Ears” stuck like glue.
