Shoutout to the Queen!

She did an incredible virtual fitting from photos on my now late gelding last summer. She is awesome. So responsive and I appreciated how detailed her emails were. I ended up buying a saddle from her that she was brokering for a client of hers, and although I’ve sold that saddle with the passing of my gelding, I’m itching to get another BC from her.

Another vote for Patti Merli! She did a virtual fitting for me during the pandemic and she was so, so helpful and knowledgeable.

I’ve had several BCs and am a fan. The on I had custom made is a ViniciX dressage saddle, and it miraculously has fit several horses. I’m currently in the process of trying to find a new saddle for my big mare only because I want a little more block than the Vinici offers, and because it has been so excellent that I want to preserve it for catch riding and using on my next baby.

Last year I had a Quantum that I bought used for 2K, and was having no problem using that and the Vinici on both of my mares (with oversight/thumbs-up from a saddler). Ended up selling that to the person who bought my QH mare, as the saddle was a bit big for me, and she is taller. AFAIK, she is still very happy with it, but it put me in a little bit of a chair seat. I impulse bought a Pessoa monoflap that was new on clearance as a “do for now” and to my surprise, I love it and have no plans to upgrade. I am also a dressage rider dinking around in the jumping world, FWIW.

I recently had a combination vinici made for about 6k. They’ll switch you to long billets for under $100 if you want to try that with an existing saddle of yours.

I’m late to the party, but I am also a Black Country/Patty fan. So much so that I have four BCs currently (and had another previously that I sold) and two years ago I hauled my horse from Cincinnati to Aiken FOR A WEEKEND just to have her work on my saddles (10 hour drjve, left Friday morning, came back Sunday)!
