Rebecca Farm! This is such an incredible place. Everything about the facility is first rate! The footing is amazing! the whole place is stunning. Great food, vendors and easy viewing of the xc course. The best part is the people, everyone is so nice and welcoming. There is even someone who comes around in a golf cart giving out drinks and snacks( and a margarita or 2) Highly recommend doing the long format there! So much fun and just an awesome experience and really special. While there you can check out Glacier national park and there are a number of lakes just a few minutes away you can go for a swim. If you have the opportunity go to this event!

I think one issue you’ll find is that there is a split between people who like a venue as fancy as possible. Dressage and SJ and warm up on arena footing. Then there are the people who like the old school everything on grass vibe.

Loch Moy has loads of fans, I competed there once and that was quite enough for a lifetime! (schooling is fine though).

One of the things I really enjoy about eventing is the variety of venues. Each is unique, all are brilliant in certain ways. Some innovate, some are always the same, which can be very comfortable. Some have challenging terrain, some always have excellent going, some have exceptionally friendly people running them, some have really good food stalls, some have the most amazing views or a stately pile to add to the picture. There is always that rise of anticipation and excitement as one turns in through the entrance. Got to love Eventing.

Pine Top is mine  I grew up going there for HTs and pony club rallies, and I still get the same feeling going there now. It’s super warm, open, and has plenty of space for hacking. The organizers are wonderful! The courses are always top-notch and leave enough room for a gallop, for even ole BN/N eventers like myself. I moved away to Area VII recently, and while I’m excited to participate in all that this area has to offer, I do wish I could clone a Pine Top PNW.

My favorite is definitely GMHA. Helps that my horse loved it up there too! I only ever did their summer Festival, but the facility and event were so great.

Same! My past thalassophobic horses would disagree with me, but one of my favorite parts of GMHA is how cross country incorporates the natural brook (Cady Stream? I can’t recall the name) at various spots on the course.

Another fun thing about GMHA… you don’t need ice boots after XC… Just chuck them in the stream in front of the lodge

I also loved Stoneleigh Burnham, although it no longer runs. Lots of great memories there.
