I have not seen Furstenball foals in person. A friend in my area is using him this year, and I will see that foal when it arrives, but that is a year away.

We have bred three Fuerstenball foal’s…well number three is due in a couple weeks. No problems with pasterns. Excellent legs, very nice gaits and great minds. Oldest in pictured above and is coming three. She has a Premium GOV Foal and Foal of Distinction.

Fuerstenball/Espri colt from 2012. Also a Premium Foal.
Have seen quite a few foals in Germany. Have not seen any with weak pasterns. But agree, that it is a valid concerm and I for sure would not breed Fuerstenball to a mare that had weak pasterns herself.
Glad Nancy (Crosiadore) popped in here - I knew she had foals by Furstenball, and had no doubt seen a bunch in Germany. 
I have only seen (in person) 2 Furstenballs, a yearling and weanling. They had superb long limbs of light-medium bone. The pasterns were correspondingly long and refined but not overly angled even when moving.
My Don Kennedy - Argentinus mare Olivia just gave us a gorgeous black Furstenball filly April 6. Olivia caught on one dose of frozen semen. Filly looks great, no problems with the pasterns.

I have 2 Ampere x Preference foals already, a 2011 colt and a 2013 filly. Both are EXCELLENT. This one will be our third one of this cross. Why mess with an excellent combination?
I would like to hear an update on this thread. Any exceptional three year olds by Furstenball ready to step out and show themselves? Strengths? Weaknesses?

Hijacking was not the intent Catzndogz22… I was merely trying to be inclusive so more could be added to what has already been said…so sorry if that offended in any way.
I think there is considerable praise for the stallion as well as the criticisms…so let’s share our thoughts rather than claiming ownership. lol
I have seen a small handful of Furstenball offspring in the flesh from a range of Hanoverian mares. NONE have lax pasterns. All seem to be tall and elegant, have really lovely walks, and good natures. None are under saddle yet though.
There are some 3/4 year olds under saddle. And yes, some of them have the slightly lax pasterns. I have seen several offspring in the flesh and some have super legs, others are a bit more lax in the pasterns. Just something to take into consideration when breeding to him. Definitely a superb stallion however! Also, something to keep in mind is that lax pasterns can be springy . . certainly we don’t want upright, short pasterns! So, it’s just a balance

At the end of the day, you must pick those bloodlines you believe in and like to ride (-: Florestan/Donnerhall/Rubinstein/Gribaldi/Landadel and a couple others work for me…the rest …well I may dabble outside those few for the right stallion but…have two professional riders I employ and they agree with theses standards so will stick with what I know.
Also find it interesting that those that have yet to breed to “said” stallion have so many opinions. If I have not bred to a stallion I would not comment.
