Well…I’m glad this has (mostly) all turned out for the best. Epona’s friend got paid, but probably just because Thing 1 and 2 got tipped off about this thread. They realized that they couldn’t get away with any more crap and they needed to get assh*t daddy to finalize the deal.
The horse is probably in a good home, although I worry about what will happen to him when (1) he and the girl don’t do as well as assh*t daddy wants them to do and (2) he can’t jump anymore (if the PPE findings were accurate).
I do feel sorry for the girl. None of this was her fault and she probably didn’t know what was going on. Plus, she’s set up for failure because she’s not that good of a rider right now and her jerk of a father is going to expect a lot from her. :no:
BTW…that trainer in Florida has a phone number and e-mail address listed on her website. Wonder if those will get taken down soon?

hmmmm, a few years ago dh and i were considering sending our grandaughter (who lives in clermont) her own pony for lessons. her mom found a very local trainer,told her we had an appropriate child’s pony and gave me her number and i called. spoke with a woman who had a copmplicated plan for share leasing our pony with a few other little riders at her place. common enough scenario,but some details just didn’t add up and i decided not to pursue the idea. seems there was a terrible shortage of ponies in florida and without shipping one to her there was no pony for lessons for miles around.

All I can say is “wow” :no: I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am sooooo the type that just gets shocked when idiot people pull stunts like this. It’s totally foreign to my nature (which is sad enough on its own!)
