It is not. I am speaking of someone else. Strictly Safe Sport. The accuser had made up the allegations. But it was quickly sorted out

I went to the Athletes for Equity website, and I have to agree with much of what others have posted. I am surprised that they have been able to raise a dime, and I found the list of people who donated to be very interesting.

They haven’t raised very much money. For all of the hoopla and venting on FB, not very many people are willing to supply financial backing and even some of the “bigger names” on there didn’t donate very much.

I agree. I think much the same thing will happen when push comes to shove and all those people who vowed to SWG have to decide if it’s really worth defying USEF to put on his clinics and renounce their membership, etc, etc. I’ll bet they quietly melt away.

I figured that it wasn’t a coincidence that he parted ways with the Brazilian team after the 2016 Olympics and didn’t get a new international gig.

It’s common knowledge, they do stay abreast of sanctions. It’s no different than drug sanctions. And as I mentioned earlier in the thread, most non US FEI riders who have opened their mouths have been in support of the ban.

Oh boy. They have a lot of nerve calling themselves “Athletes for Equity”. The people jumping on this bandwagon should really take a hard look at the image they are portraying all over social media. From an outsider looking in, they appear very ignorant, and quite frankly, pretty awful.

It pains me to scroll the list of those who have donated and see the names that are there. Missy Clark, Amanda Steege, Serio’s, Susie Hutchison, Patty Stovel, Bibby Hill, Susan Lightner, BernieTraurig,

It is sad and it is disgusting and those posting money to this “charity” should be ashamed.

Back when George Morris went on the list for his misbehavior; the outcry was almost instantaneous. But never once, not ONCE, did I hear George Morris actually deny what he was accused of. In his statements on his investigation, he claimed foul because of evidence but never once did he vehemently deny what he was accused of.

And yet, here we sit, with a partial of the COTH crowd continuing to point fingers at safesport and continue to offer their love and support of a Child Molester. None of you have come to realize yet that you are not born with God Given rights to join and have membership to whatever club you so choose. And what clubs you join, you can be removed from at any time by the board for any reason; that is fact. Safe Sport came to be after hundreds of gymnasts were found to be sexually abused by the coaches over many years. Where is your outcry of support for those coaches because they were “nice people”.

The whispers behind the ingate about Mr. Morris and his wrongdoings have been going on for decades. So where have you been? Do you think these “whispers” were suddenly made-up one day? Or have you chose to completely dismiss what this man has done to children in his care because you see him as the Messiah?

I am honestly having a hard time wrapping my head around the reasoning for someone to try and fight safesport for doing the job it was intended to do and for following through with actually doing it! Do you think that because GM’s crimes were years ago that it suddenly makes him immune to his wrongdoings? Do his crimes automatically get swept under the rug because he is famous?

Do you not understand the GM, and others too, knowingly groomed these innocent children in order to perform sexual acts on them. How can that not make you both 1) mad as hell and 2) want to vomit. The fact that people are openly, continually defending this man and now donating money to prevent others from being investigated is just at a level of vomit-worthy that I cannot yet explain. And if these supporters have children or children in their care; I will pray for them. Because this donation of funds to such an entity just further proves where the industry’s head is in this matter.

Donate to this cause, opening protest safesport and shout your support of GM, Bob Gage, etc to the heavens. The bottom line is you are supporting child molestation and sexual abuse of children. And everyone on that list donating these funds is supporting just that.

And I have to just take a second and applaud those at Safesport for actually following through with this. These were many days where I thought to myself that his appeal would be granted because of who he is and the limelight shown upon his stage. But for once in this world; some justice was served despite the outcry.

I noticed someone on the donate list I used to know well. She was a student of GM’s and once told me her proudest achievement was never letting him make her cry. And he worked hard at it.

Clearly, and unsurprisingly, the whole George Morris thing has become yesterday’s news. Even the most staunch loyalists of the ISWG crowd seem to have withered on the vine. And not a peep from George, his attorneys or his publicist. Even Matt Lauer, conceited soul that he is, managed to issue an apology. It was all consensual, right Harvey, oops I mean George.

Don’t expect anything any time soon. The fact that he admitted to so many things in his autobiography – actually bragged about them – means he does not believe he did anything wrong. I read the book after the formal allegations were made and found it appalling. Not just his sexual exploits, which were excessively discussed, but the way he overfaced riders and horses knowing that they would fail and get hurt. I’m really not sure why so many people put up with that behavior for so long.
