George Morris on the SS list

There was enough info for Safe Sport to ban GM for molesting children. Said people, with the statue of limitations dropped are now filing a civil suit.

You got the reaction you did because the story got the New York Times. You also got the reaction you did because you are too lazy to google. Such is life.

And because this thread is about the sexual assault of children in our sport, and you are actively and publicly proclaiming you are too lazy to do anything to stop it. Not even read a thread on the internets that you actively injected yourself into.

Shameful. And seemingly proud of this callous indifference to --again-- the forcible sodomy of children.

No think. No think. only speak.

I live near Augusta, GA (work in North Augusta, SC). I have never heard of them.

Exactly. The indifference to horse people over trainers and shows is just disgusting.

They used to have money…and they never claimed GHM.

Even if you overlook the fact that it was pretty common knowledge, the fact that he went through the hearings and the appeal and lost both times is more than enough for me.

I don’t believe that Ladyj79 is “utterly rude”. However, you seem to feel utterly entitled.

Do you actually think It’s terribly rude for people to expect you to use your own fingers to google the subject, or even worse, to actually expect that you might bother to read even part of this thread if you are truly interested in the subject ? Granted it is a long thread but you needn’t read much of it to get the gist.

Oh those rude people who aren’t eager to do everything for you because you can’t be bothered to do it for yourself. Because you say that you are “lazy”.

Just think for a minute about how that attitude might easily rub people the wrong way. It may just be a very unfortunate choice of words on your part, or it may be that you don’t care enough about the subject to lift a finger.

It’s difficult to read people’s motivation on the web and It’s a rather serious subject, so that is why you received the negative reaction that you did.

Plus: two articles in the NY Times plus at least three from COTH will get anyone up to speed in less than half an hour.

Sure I can explain for you.

Go to page 1, then read all the comments and the linked articles and research

I think it’s rude not to care enough about a problem as serious as pedophelia. If you want to be that rude, you can get along by [edit] about your lack of concern. But if you tell folks you can’t be bothered, be prepared for some blow back. I don’t think you’ll be able to earn a spot on the moral high ground from this position, no matter how mean those on the moral high ground are.

Seriously. When I get answer requests on Quora for similar questions I’ve started replying using a Let Me Google That For You link. You don’t come into a 200+ page topic and be like “I’m lazy, someone summarize for me.”

For anyone worried about buying a Kindle edition, he was trad-pub so unless he did HUGE sales or got a teeny weeny advance he’s not getting royalties. Those don’t pay out until the book earns out its advance on traditional contracts and most books never do. (Meaning the publisher makes sufficient profit over expenses to cover their expenses and make their profit first.)

Yeah that’s weird behavior. Rolling up on a 230+ page thread and acting put out because someone else won’t summarize it for you. People are weird.

especially since they appear to find this stuff hard to believe, so you don’t believe GM is a pedo predator but if we give you the coles notes you suddenly will? Not likely.

I think at this point, we know that if the USEF or FEI said “Riders should breathe more during their rides.”, he would give a like to “The Freedom For Equestrians To Breathe Less Official Facebook Page”. He’s been on an Anti-Establishment kick for ages now, has he not?
