Getting Horse to Eat Salt/Drink More Water

What has worked well is Apple-A-Day, by FinishLine.

How does that stuff smell soooo amazing?? I read they don’t add sugar. I used a scoop along with molasses in warm water in my mares’ buckets this morning. It smelled heavenly, I nearly drank it myself.

Must either be a trough or the 16 gallon bucket and they will not drink from a trough with a floating or submerged deicer. So glad I have the 16 gallon ones.

I love those 16 gallon buckets, too, with the warming element hidden beneath. ClydeX destroyed one this morning with pawing.

Thank goodness for heated water troughs- an upgrade by the barn owner this winter for the outside boarders!

I haven’t figured out how to edit posts yet, but I use Apple-A-Day and my horse always cleans it up.

I am pretty sure the cord would bother her … she is very insistent that things in her stall look a certain way.

Can you drill a big enough hole to run the cord directly out the wall so she can’t even see it? She does sound challenging…
