Hey all! So I have a pair of Tredstep Donatello tall boots. They are great! However, when I am jumping in them the zippers unzip partially. It is driving me crazy! Is there anything I can do to get the zipper to stay up?
That means they’re either too tight, too tall, or broken. The too tight can be fixed with a slight stretching, the zipper can be replaced, but too tall is hard to fix.
Hmm, I agree that it sounds like something is wonky with the fit. I don’t have this problem with my Da Vinci’s.
Mine do that too. But, it only unzips a few inches. My boots are definitely not too tight, they are perfectly broken in.
I think the “catch” at the top of the zipper is not as strong as it could be though. It doesn’t hold snugly…
Check your boots: my Donatellos have a double leather tab at the top that snaps across the zipper. The underneath tab has a slot in it for the zipper to stick through and help hold it up. Are you using that? (It took me a while to figure out what it was for, so I thought I’d make sure you knew, too).
I never realized that, but you are right, JBCool!!
Thanks… Hope this helps OP too
After owning my donatellos for months, someone pointed out to me the leather tab that prevents the zipper from opening when riding. Felt like a dunce, but problem solved. Have to say, these are awesome boots for the price point!
 That’s exactly why I shared that info for the OP: my DH actually pointed it out to me. I never would have figured it out myself! Yep, felt a little like a dunce, too, Sue

Oh dear lord… nope, definitely wasn’t using that!! thanks! Perfect! Seems like this is common for these boots and they have found a way to mitigate it.
Thanks again!
no problem!
