gifts for part-time barn help dilemma

if they are college students, give them a gift card to their college book store. They can use it for text books or for splurge things like College logo gear

Cash is always the right color and always the right size. An Amazon gift card is almost the same as cash these days since you can buy just about anything you want with them. If you want to personalize the gift a little more, cookies or alcohol (if you know what they like) are nice.

Some kids would love a Starbucks gift card, others aren’t buying Starbucks with their barn wages so you’d have to know their preferences.

My favorite non cash gifts when doing barn work were 1.) really good socks 2.) really good gloves 3.) pocket hand and boot warmers. 4.) an earband that fit under my helmet.

My shoer always comes with his (adult) son. When his wife is showing, son comes alone.

In a Flush year I gift both - last year was cookies & a gas card apiece - I try to do something consumable.
This year is not so $$-full, so they will share 1/4 Honeybaked Ham - families live close so sharing should not be a problem.

As your helpers are not family I’d go with a generic gift card - same amount -then each can get what they want.
If you know you will see A w/o B you could include some small personal item, but be aware that could lead to hard feelings if disclosed.
