IMHO the tears were because the rider couldn’t do something right and wanted to be the super star of the the lesson…

I don’t doubt that this is true in many cases, but I think it’s unfair to tar everyone with the same brush. (I’m talking in general terms now, not about the people in the Horsemastership clinic.) Who’s to say that those tears don’t represent the rider’s disappointment and frustration with herself because she’s trying but still not getting it right? We are not all naturally talented riders, and Lord knows I’ve had plenty of those lessons myself. I make sure to let my trainer know that it’s my issue and not her I’m reacting to – and then I get back to work.[/QUOTE]
Appears my comment has come across vauge… I did try to be clear by saying “in a particular lesson”… Didn’t intend on taring everyone that cries with the same brush
I also know hormones can create emotions as well…
Saying that, I have been riding for over 35 years and never remember crying except for the time I got kicked in the foot by another horse “while” on my horse at a show.
And I have had lessons from trainers that have made others cry… one trainer I remember was “really” nasty and I only took a few lessons with him.
I have a lesson on Sunday - I hope karma doens’t come bite me in the butt and I will ride off in tears. I need to pray my horses don’t dump me and since I am of an older bone density, break something - eeekkkk…
