I’m so sorry. It’s hard to lose a dog you love. I had the sinking feeling I would find this update post once I realized I was reading posts from 2009.

I am so sorry to hear of your boy’s passing. Thank you for sharing him with us. This picture melts my heart, what a happy boy. We will be there very soon with our 15.5 year old sable boy. They are the best and they love us the most. Sending warm thoughts your way.

One last bump. Back when I started this thread there wasn’t a menagerie forum so most of the dog related posts that were allowed to stay up were on this forum for your information. I will probably start a new thread on that forum when it’s closer to when it’s time to pick her up but here is Teddy’s successor. This little lady has some big shoes to fill.

We just put our beautiful 9 year old blue merle Sheltie to sleep on Saturday. He had soft tissue sarcoma but it was spreading rapidly, and it was time to let him go. We have 3 other sheltie boys but the house feels different and a little lonelier.
Is your new addition a Sheltie as well? She looks sooooo adorable!!! Congrats on the new puppy!
No she is a Pom. We have had shelties and Poms over the years but think we are Poms from here on out mainly due to their portability. They fit under the seat of the airplane.
Sorry for your loss, they never live long enough no matter how old they are.
