Got a quote for a covered arena

Keep in mind lighting too. Indoor or out, winter nights are long and days are short. Lights are essential unless you can ride whenever you want.

You resulting arena will be terribly tight, If you have small horses, young and flexible, you will survive.

However , it has long been my observation, that putting stalls in an arena, leaves you with you horses inhaling an awful lot of dust… Some hang canvas curtains, a not always simple solution.

One light in the center works just fine for a small indoor. I started out with 5, but unplugged all but one because I didn’t need the rest.

You will go crazy until all is done and they are gone.

What you can do in an indoor is limited only by your imagination.
There are many videos out there with all kinds of pole grids to do all kinds of exercises and gymnastics at any gait.
Here is one of many:

You will love it. Congratulations!

Thanks for the link Bluey! I have an Rx from the vet (:dead:) for cavaletti work with Perfect Pony who is also Fat Pony, and I’m going to have to do it on grass for now until the arena gets done! It’s like waiting on a package, I keep looking outside  Sub base has had two passes a week apart with the compactor now, so hopefully base will show up this coming week. We’ve had some “Junuary” weather so it’s been wetter than normal; maybe it will cooperate and rain on the base before the footing comes in.
