Deer hunting with hounds was banned years ago in that state - and the AR groups were most definitely part of that effort.
What you don’t seem to understand, or refuse to understand, is that mounted foxhunting is not superior to other forms of hunting. We don’t get special privileges, we’re not a protected class, and that many efforts to ban or restrict hunting affect mounted foxhunting. Either intentionally or unintentionally.
Whether the effort is to make kennel requirements so onerous that kennels close, pressuring game departments to cater only to the demands of nonhunters, outright efforts to ban a particular form of hunting, opposing efforts to train young/apprentice hunters - the result is fewer sportsmen. Or sportsmen who cannot find any place to hunt.
That affects mounted foxhunting. Just because you don’t consider yourself a real hunter, does not mean you aren’t. Folks like the little AR troll on this thread don’t give a damn about your mounted foxhunting. If they can ban other forms of hunting with hounds - they’ll have no problem taking you out as well. Sorry so many foxhunters don’t appear to fully understand that.
