Looks like Dublet’s up to 73.235% now, rather than the earlier 71.etc%. Still behind Roosevelt at 73.824%, so she’s still the drop score, but better.
OMG! I love ShowTime!
But, when you drop a score you drop both scores from that rider. So if we drop kasey’s score, we can’t use her 75 from yesterday. Mathematically, I think she’s still higher than Allison (who had 73 today). We only have about a 1% advantage over the Netherlands. So a 2% drop in any one rider today with the other rides scoring the same would make it very close. So, now our other riders must make up those points if we want a medal. The Dutch are probably celebrating right now with renewed hope. I do think going with the weaker rounds is an advantage. I would rather be the strong team in the weak group (the Dutch) rather than the weak team in the leaders (the US).
Edit: just saw the updated score! So know we are right even with the Dutch if our other scores stay the same.
In terms of individual results, it looks like neither Ali or Kasey will move forward.
ETA: I take that back. I just looked through the results, and while Kasey is out, Ali may still move on.
No, the site showed 65% when I looked before. It must have been a typo by someone. It’s now 75%. Phew. That’s better! Reaffirms a belief that judges are being fair.

It showed 65% because the collective scores had not come in from M. Now they have. And M scored her higher than any other judge except F.
Shame about the extended trot - it was 4 across the board from all judges. And unfortunate that he was showing his tongue through a great deal of the test. It put her in 15th place with 73.235%. Allison is in 12th place with 73.824%. KLots of pressure now on Steffen and Laura.
Allison is officially qualified for the freestyle!
I wish I could listen to the commentary at work. Who is this rider with the eye patch? That must be hard for all the precision at this level.

I’m totally confused-so only the GPS is used to qualify for the freestyle, but the combined scores are used for team medals and the GP is used to qualify for the GPS? Is that right? Any reason why they wouldn’t use a combined GP+GPS to qualify for the freestyle. That would make much more sense. But Kasey’s combined is better than Allison’s so how could Allison be officially qualified? Totally confused.
Fiona Bigwood for GB. Not sure what the story is with the patch, though, as I’m only getting to listen to bits and pieces myself. I really like her ride, though!

That’s Fiona Bigwood for GBR, I was wondering the same thing, apparently she had a bad fall a couple years ago and experiences double vision:

Evidently she had a fall a couple of years ago and has trouble with her vision hence the patch.
Wow! Nice ride.
i loved the clover & ‘listening ears’ on that irish horse!
yes, bad fall.
Steffen!
Wow. Legolas not looking good today. Looks like no ext. trot.
He’s looking out of energy
Yep.
Disappointing…
