Grand Prix dressage live streaming

They will use the collective marks to break a tie, which pretty much never happens.

It did seem Parsival was off. I’m wondering if the weather isn’t affecting the horses.

I would assume there’s some tie-breaking process in place at Olympic/FEI levels, like there is at national levels, where ties are broken by the Collectives.

Really pleased to finally be home and have access via the NBCSports steam on my Roku. Good commentary, and I can watch or rewatch everything! Made me feel better about the Equestrian coverage after the SO turned on some of the Sailing yesterday, and they didn’t even have a Commentator :frowning:

NBC stream only works in the USA. For rest of world info, try here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_2016_Summer_Olympics_broadcasters

Does the NBC live stream only work in states? Just landed n São Paulo and trying to watch and it won’t come up!
A very rough translation of a quote from Adelinde posted on facebook by KWPN:

“An emotional adelinde about the failure of Her Topper Percival: " he had a bug bite in his cheek and had a 40 fever last night. He has been on the iv and I’ve tried it today for the team, he walked into the last week, so good! But he felt from the beginning don’t fit and I didn’t want to squeeze it all. So I decided to say hello. I had this olympic action proposed something different, this he didn’t deserve.”

you know, if she knew he was ‘off’, why in the Sam hill didn’t they replace him on the team? Could it be she wanted one more big time show.

This is JUST my opinion, but really…

Thanks for the update, I hope Parzival is OK!

I don’t think they have reserves.

The Dutch team didn’t have a traveling reserve, so there was nobody to replace her on the team.

There is a lot of piaffe and passage in the Grand Prix test; not only the last centerline.
OOOOK which is why I asked the question? I have not really watched a whole test, just keep catching the ending, really. You Dressage people are touchy.

Is that Charlotte talking on the BBC stream? Odd definition of collection–the horse is about a foot shorter, not about carrying more weight behind.
(Corrected, her called her Lara, so not C.)

Good job for the 18 year old Brazilian woman! Pretty impressive.

Brazil’s lusitano stallion Zingaro is really cool looking. I love how compact he is! Love his neck set too!

Tequila, I was using your name to make sure people knew the comment I was addressing. Not accusing you. (For some reason my browser sticks sometimes when trying to reply with the original comment.) Sounds like it’s true. I just don’t always believe what is stated on TV since many times the information comes from a team representative, and they are usually trying to put a spin on it to keep their countrymen and sponsors happy.

I. Want. This. Mare. Holy cow is she a looker and talented to boot. So soft. I think they said her name is Othilia?

His tongue wasn’t out the whole time but started to hang out close to when she retired. Something definitely didn’t look right.
Except there is no stream there??

Me too!
(Othelia!)

Orthilia

For those who can’t get a live stream to save their lives  here is a good twtter handle with frequent updates https://twitter.com/hashtag/equestriandressage?src=hash

I think the Brit reserve rider was commentating.

GO KASEY!!!
