Hackney pony

Thanks, Joan and 2DogsFarm. I found myself not relating to my other two horses the way I usually do earlier this week, and realized that it was because I was missing Crackers so much. It was sad because I’ve always loved each of them for their individual personalities. I just kept doing the usual stuff with them and it got better again, but it really took me by surprise.

Today was better–I took Salt out for a nice drive, and spent a little time loving on Sassy.

Hi
camenacross this thread while looking for some help. I have a hackney pair. Bought them to get them out into kinder hands. They aren’t broke but I don’t have time to work them. I’m just looking for a knowledgeable person and safe home for them. Does anyone have any resources?

You might try posting on the driving forum.

It would help to know a bit more - where are you? How old are they? Completely feral? or just not trained to drive? Matched pair? thank you for trying to find them a good spot.

If you will pm me I can give you a few suggestions. of who to contact. I would the breed association and see if they have any suggestions.

The more info you can give the better. They actually make good little jumpers for a fearless kid.
