Off in the stall and off in the field except will occasionally leave breakaway halter on outside in certain circumstances.
I do wonder if breakaway halters will break easily enough though.
I had a horse put his front! leg through his leather halter when he had it on briefly in the stall waiting for farrier. - I don’t know how he did it but he was panicking and jumping around - I yelled for someone to bring me a knife and cut the halter off him. Couldn’t unbuckle or unsnap. It was old leather and not too hard to cut but the horse didn’t break it jumping around with his head stuck to his leg.
