I agree. My dog is super extremely well behaved with horses and cats because she is loose at my farm all day everyday but she gets really scared of big dogs. But even when she’s loose she never leaves my sight and our property is completely fenced in. I hate when we go to a show and people have their dogs loose wandering unattended. I see them all the time in the roads at WEC in front of the stalls with cars and trailers whizzing by.
My dog at shows stays in a crate with fans while I’m out riding or teaching and on a leash the rest of the time but I don’t take her down to the arenas ever while people are competing. She doesn’t do anything disruptive and I’m sure if I told her to stay in the golf cart she wouldn’t move for years lol but still you need to pay attention to your dog in unfamiliar environments. But it’s even scary to take her to the bathroom with some of these dogs wandering around because like I said my dog gets scared of big dogs approaching and a lot of these loose dogs are not friendly.
