I was serious on an older thread a few months ago that I’d buy the mare if she was worth the price. If he reduces the price, let me know. She was overpriced on that thread link. She deserves a better fate but I guess he’ll go up on the price rather than lower it.

Of course the people NP calls and yells at deserve better fates also.

It may not be slander, but posting an illegally recorded video [illegal because both parties did not give consent to the recording] is most certainly illegal.

And may open the COTH up to a law suit.

I’m sure NP is thanking the OP for making his dreams, of having a valid reason to drag the publishers of COTH into court, come true.

Not that I don’t tremble to go up against such formidable legal analysis or anything, but I’m going to go out pn a limb here and suppose that even if “Elizabeth’s” lack of awareness to the recording made the recording act illegal, her subsequent consent to its publication is controlling at least with respect to its publication here. Since, I mean, “Elizabeth”'s consent is the crux of the issue.

But I mean, I’m just a transactional lawyer and I’m certainly persuadable so you’re welcome to come back at me with the case law upon which you based your expert analysis on this.

Manni this is not what happened. I PMd what I thought was a friend on Facebook describing only the facts of the personal behavior of NP towards me and a close friend. It had nothing to do with his riding. I referenced nothing outside of my direct experience with him. I did not make fun of him but did mention that he was not the acclaimed rider he claims. That is it. I didn’t direct her to do anything, did not post links, pictures, or anything else. The idea that someone looking out for another person is in the wrong and sad to me. I would expect someone else to do the same for me and at least give me a heads up.

No worries ThistleDew. You don’t owe anyone here an explanation or defense of your actions. You did what most would expect and want any friend of theirs to do, and moreover, you did it privately. Don’t pay attention to anyone suggesting you’re in any way to blame for his appalling behaviour.

Considering the current events in our country, I believe women are officially done being bullied by men who feel the need to call us names and tell us how we should react, especially to someone who threatens and harasses anyone who dares to warn others about him.

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, men like Csaper would never say these things to anyone’s face. They hide behind an anonymous name on a bulletin board and then behave as if us women need to be told what to do. No thanks, we already have a great moderator.

There are [those] who are more interested in leading to pages and pages of tangents than actually discussing the topic at hand. Best thing to do is just ignore them. They have no interest in participating in the subject and will continue to move the goal posts rather than concede a point.

There’s absolutely zero reason to engage with them. You will never get an honest or consistent answer, just a slew of posts as they wait for the next person to take the bait. And while some might argue they’re adding to the thread’s popularity by keeping it at the top of the forum section, I’d argue that they’re helping NP by obscuring the valuable posts within pages and pages of unhelpful bickering between forum members.

I think the mod staff is being too lenient on their derailing of the threads - but [edit], I’m not a mod.

An action that is a violation of criminal code is a crime against society not the victim. Thistledewdressage can not negate, or forgive that. Neither can the OP.

Your turn @meupatdoes What are the possible consequences to her case… now that ThistleDewDressage affirmed on a public forum that it’s ok that the recording of this devastating conversation is being made public… should she wish to attempt to seek civil redress, for the emotional pain and suffering?

Yes. And I’ve noticed that he likes to come in and derail threads by arguing and insulting, and he’s specifically condescending to women.

Windermere is right…we really need to avoid him and the best remedy would be if we can discuss the topics in this thread without responding to him, even though he will escalate his posts in order to get a reaction.

There seems to be a handful of male posters who enjoy coming onto COTH and taking out their “women issues” on the posters here. I’ve been a COTH member for 17 years and can spot them pretty quickly.

ETA: See how he is baiting me with his latest post? I think my earlier comments hit a little close to home based on his response.

This has been covered repeatedly, both in this thread and others. It is about the actions of a self-professed professional dressage trainer and how he treats others in the dressage industry. It is relevant and the mods have agreed.

I’ve often wondered if the small group of males who share those behaviour patterns on COTH are in fact one troll posting under various alters. It makes me feel better than thinking there are several who seem to enjoy being belittling and condescending to women, especially those who dare to disagree or not follow their advice.
