So far, one is all misshapen, I guess the 160F water, measured with the kitchen thermometer was too hot…perhaps I needed a perfectly calibrated lab thermometer. That one is warped all over. Second one, It is closer, but within 2 hours of being on, my delicate mare had a bleeding rub, right on the corner of her mouth…gee, good think I don’t have any shows entered.
The third one, it has the basic bends done and I think I’m going to sell it. So far, I spent a small fortune on 3 muzzles, one may not be salvagable, one left rubs, and the third, well, this can be a head start for the person who has the patience to shape the damned thing.
So far, I give it thumbs down. I have to mutilate the Best Friends ones because there is not enough air flow. The Tough 1 requires less cutting, but they all require liberal amounts of fleece glued to any spot that touches the one horse. Two do seem to wear the regular muzzles without rubs.
I like the airflow concept, but the implementation sucks.
