harrisburg/mechanicsburg h/j lesson barns

You guys are too much. I viciously responded… Please!

Sara responds with “I would not recommend the barn under the new owner as a personal preference and in regards to training methods.”

In regards to training methods… And that is supposed to mean what? Is that supposed to make the new owner feel warm and fuzzy? Will that make another individual reading the thread want to check out the barn? Maybe I misunderstood Sara’s post.

The old saying of “birds of feather, flock together” and boy have you guys have.

This is my last post in this thread.

This stuff should really be addressed in private. Neither trainer at this barn deserve to have this being posted on a public forum.

I could not agree with you more.

I’ve never started a thread that elicited heated responses and I never thought a simple barn recommendation would be the one to do it!

Tsk, tsk, look what you started, skyy! I guess drama can be found anywhere

I hope your student finds a nice fit with a new barn! I think the hardest part about moving barns (aside from leaving friends) is either keeping or finding a good farrier and vet. I’m having to switch vets because I’m moving east over the river - most stressful part so far!

Also former rider from Hollyhurst (rode 2002 to 2006)! Betsy’s really nice and the facilities are awesome. I’ve gotten into eventing now, thankfully I found an eventing stable near me so I didn’t have to drive an hour!, so I haven’t gone back in years but if they’re still the same then it’s a good place to be

There are h/j barns all over the place here! It’s h/j central so you will not be lacking in looking for stables and trainers however Hollyhurst is the only one I know of personally.

Snort don’t feel bad Skyy, if there’s one place for drama, horse or non, it would be Dillsburg lol.

On the other hand, your student is blessed to enter an area with so many leading trainers and instructors. It is a small town h/j mecca. It was so easy to come up with suggestions off the top of my head, and I could easily come up with more if those didn’t suit but I am sure they will.

Best of luck to your student, it will be hard to pick!
