I use Harmony Mare from smartpak.
My girls aren’t nasty marish, but they got really concerned about herd things. They got anxious when they left the herd because they couldn’t protect them. Go figure. Harmony mare stopped that cold.

…
I have a mare who is just nasty on trail rides if there are more then 2 other horses in our group, or if she is passed by horses on organized rides.
She thinks she needs to be the leader no matter what once we add a 4th horse to the mix…
Sounds like a training issue, not something that raspberry leaves, or any other supplement, will fix.

If so have you noticed a difference in your mare?

She thinks she needs to be the leader no matter what once we add a 4th horse to the mix. I tried relax her but I am having an allergic reaction to it. ( I am the only one who can feed ) the horses so need to find something in pellet or crumb form and figured I would see if anyone on here has used mare magic before.
- I didn’t notice a difference on MM
- I am going to try the buying in bulk and see since it is so inexpensive.
- Bolded- this is a training issue, not necessarily a mare issue. People should always pass cautiously and know how to pass. I’d talk about that with my group.
Horses can’t count so it wasn’t like “ah ha, number 4, screw that!”.
Some horses will never “like” being passed or behind, but even my OTTB behaved his bad self in hack classes, where he “got over” thinking it was a race.
