OP, I would wager you are pinching with your knee in the air. If you’re coming out of your heel, the support is going somewhere else and the most common place is the knee.

thanks! I adore my saddle. Those pictures are when it was brand new.

The exercise helps if you are a leaner. If you weight one stirrup more than another. If your stirrups are set up like this, and you lean into one too much, off that side you will go. It forces you o stay centered.
