Help! Cant find boots to fit my draft cross!

Hey there! First post on here

I own a 6 year old draft cross and Im having a hell of a time finding jump/tendon boots that fit him! I’ve tried the following brands in the largest size
-prestige
-woof wear
-kuntucky
-schockemohle
-veredus
-professional choice
-shires

now he fits all the above brands aside from Kentucky and schockemohle in the front legs, it’s the fetlocks I’m having trouble with, hes got abnormally large fetlocks… like the size of my friends Clydesdale/TB fetlocks
to clarify hes a Canadian Hanoverian Thoroughbred standing 17hh and bum high (still growing)
I’m fine using polos for now but I need something for show season
I’m hesitant on trying the equifit boots in XL because if they dont fit I’m out 500 dollars (Canadian) and I’ve already spent copious amounts of money trying to find something that fits!
any advice is greatly appreciated!

I’ll try and get measurements of his fetlock tomorrow

Custom sizing and excellent quality from http://www.peopleonhorses.com/dressage/horse-boots/

I use Lemieux boots on my big draft cross sport horse - they have dimensions posted on their site for you to check sizing.

I have a set of Ikonic boots that would likely fit. They were too big for my old percheron/TB who had more TB legs than draft legs. They’re plenty big for my haflinger cross’ massive fetlocks, with room to spare, but they’re WAY too tall for his pony length nubbins, Haha! The hind boots are almost tall enough to use as front boots on him… A friend tried them on a big boned 17.2hh WB and they were too big for him too. The things are just ridiculously large.

I’m Canadian and on the west coast too, if you’re interested at all.

Also check out what Premier Equine has to offer. Their stuff is usually pretty generous in sizing.

NEW equine wear may have something for you. They come in a variety of materials, styles and sizes, including extra wide for the cobby types.

So I measured my horse tonight and he is 35.5 cm or 14 / 14.25 inches around his fetlock! I’m talking to equifit right now via email and they said they can make a custom boot with the elastics a little longer to better suit my horse!
