I have the correct connect one too. I have one horse with huge shoulders and a regular 3 point or 5 point breast collar pulls on his shoulders in the wrong spots . Love it for him specifically but it’s well designed and pretty

I have the Correct Connect Free Motion breastplate as well and like it. My old breastplate didn’t fit the new guy and opted for this. Lol a handy grab strap should things become ‘exciting’ with the new boy

FWIW, even though I don’t use him for eventing, (doing jumpers now) I ended up removing my breastplate and got my saddle re-flocked to fit even better and my guy is using his shoulder SO MUCH more.

As a past eventer I do recognize the what’s and why’s of using a breastplate, but a better fitting saddle and a more free shoulder are things that should be more useful on Xc as well as stadium. And really if you forget to tighten your girth before you go out of the start box, you’ll only make that mistake once if it bites you in the butt (and wallet).

Okay only semi related to my original thread, but I had a LeMieux breastplate on my “maybe” list. I’m glad I didn’t buy that one because I did order their new figure 8 bridle, and when I say it’s hot garbage, I am not joking. It’s extremely stiff, feels like plastic, and it looks like it’s cheap painted leather. It looks like the painted surface will start cracking the first time you use it. I was so mad that I immediately put it back in the packaging and am sending it back to SmartPak.

Long story short, if anyone is considering any LeMieux leather goods, don’t do it. Extremely overpriced with atrocious quality.
