Yes, we can see him and he’s super cute!

When a friend of mine registered her paint she had to come up with a couple (I seem to think it was 3) names and the Paint Assoc “approved” one of them. Not sure if the AQHA does something similar - I would think so - so you should check with the AQHA if you’re planning to register your horse. Make sure you have all your breeding paperwork as well.

He’s a cutie!

I have to come up with 4 names

Don’t Dunskin My Donut.

OMG, a horse named Dunskin Donut sounds cute, cute, cute!

Also, there’s a well-known verse in the Bible about sparrows-- something along the lines of “Not a sparrow falls without Father’s care.”

http://biblehub.com/matthew/10-29.htm

The meaning of the verse is nice: It’s that God is omnipotent and caring. The verse has been taken from the Bible and used elsewhere, too (at least in the history of 19th century Natural History/discussions of evolution and design).

The “sparrow” part of it, however, isn’t so great. As the first part of the verse says, Sparrows are cheap. That is to say, they were small, eatin’ birds. So if God knows and cares for something as insignificant as a sparrow, surely he’s a powerful and benevolent ruler of the rest of the world, too.

I have a slim little brown mare that I wanted to name somehow in reference to that verse… maybe Father’s Sparrow. I hadn’t gotten so far as to poll random people to see if they got the reference and had positive or negative feelings about it. I’m not well-versed enough in verse and Christianity to know how that group of people reads this bit of Matthew; I only know it because of the history of science.
