Help me purchase new leather halters! Quillin?

My horses are in need of some new everyday leather halters. I’d like them to be good quality but they’ll be for general use and turnout, not show.

Because of their smaller heads, I was thinking 3/4" and double stitched might be better than 1" and triple stitched, but I can’t seem to find many 3/4" halters.

I’ve read good things about Quillin on COTH and was trying to match up my measurements with the ones on their site. Anybody have any experience with their sizing? Where is the crownpiece measured to and how much do the holes allow for adjustment?

Any other halter recommendations?

Expensive. Try Bartville Harness Shop instead.

Quillins are extremely durable, clean up great and are made in the USA. They get my vote. OP, just give them a call, they are very helpful with questions and sizing, etc.

What keysfins said. I’ve bought them for my personal horses, and I’ve bought them as show trophies (and the recipients were vocally pleased). Talk to them; they will help you with the sizing.

Ditto this. I show zero love to my leather Bartville halters and they still hold perfectly!!! Excellent products from that shop.
