Hermes .. Equestrian?

Status shopping is very much alive and well in the US. Go look at the line outside Gucci and Chanel stores in wealthy areas on an average Thursday.

There is a lot of pent up demand post-pandemic. IME the “tech bro” outfit of wearing Patagonia and jeans is pretty limited to Silicon Valley and Seattle - head to Miami and the crypto set is in head to toe designer with the flashiest supercar they can buy.

Just different sets of people.

Same. I know one family that is from VERY very old money and lots of it. You would never know unless you knew and would have no clue if you were judging off cars, clothes, or stuff.

Just for yuck, the late (August) Issey Miyake designed Steve Jobs’ iconic black turtleneck and it doesn’t get more Silicon Valley than that.

But those Steinkraus saddles in the '70’s through the early '90’s, oh how that little brass Brad drove us wild with envy. You can spot it in a lot of Anne K’s photos.

Yes I’m sure. I’ve never been to Florida!

I tried on a KEP helmet and Hermes show jacket while in at their store in Las Vegas maybe years ago. Nice quality- definitely a status symbol.
