Assuming the Si Jayne info will NOT be included…

If you want to communicate with Tad, call! He is terrible with e-mail/text. I say that as someone who loves her TC2…it just is what it is!

 Au contraire!
I’ll ask for that to be featured :sunglasses:
So few will get the reference :smirk:

Getting the reference is admitting age as well as…well…something you wish you never knew.

I think enough of the stink has worn off so it’s merely a curiousity now.
 Si Jayne plate could go under the flap:
Stealth Creepy?

He would like that…where he belongs.

As long as my purse doesn’t blow up :grimacing:

I have spoken with him on the phone . He speakers as he is concerned on the phone and says he will call back . But there is no return phone call . I had this happen with him 2 years ago as well . He was going to send out a trial saddle for me to try his new tree . He never sent and I never heard anything back from him back then either , that was prior to 2020 .

I agree 100%

I agree

To be totally fair any tree can crack if say a horse rolls in the saddle. Just like any engine can get toasted if the oil runs dry or the block freezes and cracks.

This saddle never had a horse role on it . Nor fall nor anything , very easy rides 30 minutes 5 x a week only on one horse . For 4 or 5 years , then in a week time period it started squeaking like a leather squeak , didn’t think anything of it as it’s very cold here . Then my last ride , cantering it started making a knocking noise . I pulled up , reached around to try to figure out what the noise was , when my hand reached the cantle I felt it flex more then it should . Nothing ever happened to this saddle to cause this . I believe it has to with the material the tree is made of , thru do not use a wooden tree . Some kind of synthetic carbon fiber something.

Not good, I agree.

Call him back if you want recourse.

I found that communication was slow, but my saddle came back better than ever.

I will add I bought a saddle from him years ago (so details are hazy). I think Tad Coffins can be difficult to get a good fit. I sent it back for a smart ride tree. The saddle that came back was not the saddle I sent. It took a letter from a lawyer to sort it out. The saddle I bought and sent back for the smart ride tree disappeared. I wound up getting my money back, but it took time and a lawyer.

BUMP!
I emailed Calyse & it’s looking like my saddle & 2 bridles will be transmogrified into a small purse & wallet :blush:
Thanks again for the info :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

BUMP#2!!!
Bumping because Calyse has my saddle & 2 bridles.
Saddle will become a purse & wallet.
Purse handle will be the brass clincher browband from my TB’s bridle, his favorite bit will be incorporated into the crossbody strap.
Si Jayne saddlemaker plate will be (discreetly) featured on the purse.
DH’s nameplate will be used on the wallet.
Pics will be posted when I have both in my hot, little hands
