Wow! From my understanding it is a compromised adrenal gland and lack of cortisol and aldosterone hormones. My vet said that he’d rather treat an Addison case than Cushings any day of the week. Once diagnosed it seems fairly straightforward to manage. Getting the diagnosis can be the hard part though because they call it the “great pretender”. It can present like a lot of other things because of the diffuse symptoms.
