Honey leaves for her new life tomorrow.

I can’t believe she once looked like this. Uploading: IMG_1342.jpeg…

And now she’s here.

I appreciate all the help along the way. Her new family met her today, and I’m told they’re totally in love. Also I saw the video and I don’t think honey has ever looked more relaxed…and mind you she’s been out of work for like 2 months now at least.

I’m excited to follow her on her travels in New Mexico!

She looks great! And I’m sorry she didn’t work for you but you gave her the best possible chance to have a healthy, happy life. Really well done.

And it’s clear that she taught you a lot about horses and how to provide good horse care. I hope the knowledge you’ve gained with her helps you enjoy life with a new nice horse in the future!

They must be so excited to meet their new family member.
So, they bought her long distance or through a dealer?
So many roads to Rome.

Even tho she did not work out for you, you did right for her when you got her out of a bad situation, did all the right things with and for her then moved her into a good situation with what sounds like nice people who even came to meet her before she shipped.

Good job, she taught you alot and you rewarded that.

Are you still riding?

Thank you! I am!

I’m taking lessons at a few different places just to find my home.
Also I might lease my friends horse. We’ll see! Keeping my options open.

I passed on the other, perfect aqha. I’m just not ready to pull the trigger yet.

This is the right way to go about it for now. The right horse will come along at the right time. Very glad you’re riding and enjoying it.

Today was hard and sad. But she will live a great life so that is comforting. Still emotional though.

Oh and for anyone who remembers the papers issue: we got it squared away. Hooray!

She really thrived at the current barn. Looked really good. I am sure her new people will treat her like a queen.

Probably the last update:

Honey (now renamed to aramiella though I may have spelled that wrong) has made it safe and sound to New Mexico. She’ll be outside living under some big sky.

The new owners picked up a slew of horses from slaughter-bound kill pens along the way, so honey arrived with like 10 other horses.

Hope she dosn’t pick up some respiratory nastiness from her new herdmates.

I’m hoping for health and happiness for all the horses, but especially Honey! Her new owners sound like they love horses and want to do right for them.
