HORSE BOOKS-What did you read as a child?

I haven’t read but a handful of the posts here but wanted to add a couple of books I didn’t see. (These may be on some of the pages I didn’t peruse.) These other books are Copper’s Chance, The Little Horse Who Raced a Train, and Mountain Pony. And who can forget Snowman! I do have a question about a book I hope y’all can help me out with. I think the setting was Ireland. A boy works for a farmer. The farmer has a mare so vicious that she is kept locked up in a stall. No one can go near her. The boy works to win her trust, starting with being able to muck out her stall. At one point the mare runs away. She ends up back at the farm. At the end of the story, she has been tamed and surprises them all with a foal. Anyone know this one? Thanks!

I read a story about the horse that played Fury in the TV series. I believe the story was in Readers Digest some years back. An animal trainer in California found this poor old derelict horse at an auction. He learned that the horse was one who had played Fury and the horse still remembered his commands. The man had loved the series so much that it had inspired to become an animal trainer so he bought the horse and took him home with him, although the horse was clearly past ever working again. It was a very heartwarming story.

I liked the Bonnie Books, I can’t remember exactly what they were called though
